Small lexicon - good to know
Assisted reproduction is the most successful mode of treatment of infertility. The list of methods of assisted reproduction you can find in Table 1 and some of them on the following figures, the most commonly used are intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and embryotransfer (ET). The oocyte retrieval for IVF is performed vaginaly under ultrasound control, usually under short anestesia. The most frequently used micromanipulation technique is intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The biopsy of blastomeres is necessary in case of preimplantation genetic diagnostics (PiGD). More informations about the best mode of management of your case you can get during personal consultation.
